I've just written an entry for this month's Writing Season competition, but it turns out the web interface doesn't allow for pasting? At least from Google Docs, which is where I wrote it. I've tried ctrl+v and pasting as plain text, but neither works. Insta fail!
Also, would love to discuss another thing if that's ok with you. Is the writing interface/system (Turns) in your Post Dashboard causing any discomfort? I meant for people to write stuff here from scratch. If you had a story already prepared and just wanted to submit that here by direct pasting, that's completely fine. But if you wrote it after signing up here, was just wondering if anything about the Dashboard made you prefer to write it somewhere else and then paste it here?
Hi, so sorry you ran into that trouble. Each Turn had a limit of roughly 2200 to 2300 words. Pasting anything larger than that used to cause the paste to silently drop. I made two updates: 1. Turns now support roughly 4400 words. So, doubled the capacity. 2. Any paste that is larger than the capacity will be rejected with a warning message so that you know what's going on. Can you try breaking up your work into chunks smaller than 4400 words and see if it works now?
